Peter Pan

This sculpture was born from a few different goals I was trying to reach.  The shape of it came from the desire to produce a sculpture that would fit nicely into some of the smaller yards and landscaping of clients, specifically some of my Florida residents.

The piece appears quite simple in its flow, but it has a lot going on.  The half-Sphere of the moon on top lends a great 3-D scope.  The wings of the seagulls overlap the edges of the sculpture giving them the appearance of real flight and the waves of the ocean below give even more depth to the whole piece.

I have always loved the quote from Peter Pan with the directions to Neverland and I think they fit perfectly on this piece and all of the elements work well together.
