Retro Tree

Retro Tree is a combination piece, it has both Cor Ten and Stainless Steel in it.  It also combines abstract elements with more iconic and recognizable features. 

The halos on the trees are inspired by my earlier 3 Cubes piece.  They are very abstract in nature and a perfect example of the strong inspiration and influence I feel from the Googie style of art.  The addition of the tree trunks, branches and bird make it a more familiar and recognizable piece to people.

Once again I have used contrasting finishes on the Stainless Steel to make them pop and give them dimension.
